Large vertical mill slag powder preparation project is being installed

Granulated blast furnace slag (referred to as "slag") is a by-product of blast furnace ironmaking. It has high potential activity and hydraulic cementitiousness. It plays an important role in my country's construction projects, especially slag powder ground to a certain fineness is more widely used. Slag powder is an indispensable mineral admixture and high-quality cement admixture for high-performance concrete. It can replace the cement content in concrete in equal amounts. It has many advantages such as greatly improving the strength and corrosion resistance of concrete, improving the density of concrete and reducing the production cost of concrete enterprises. Slag powder is a green building material and environmentally friendly building material. It is a new type of green and environmentally friendly industry encouraged by the country to develop, and the market prospects are broad.

Uses of slag powder:

1. Application in the cement industry

In cement production, adding slag powder in a certain proportion can produce slag silicate cement, improve the performance of cement, and reduce production costs and energy consumption. The amount of water slag added to slag silicate cement can reach 20%-70% by weight.

2. Application in concrete

Adding slag powder to commercial concrete can significantly improve the strength, durability and impermeability of concrete. At the same time, slag powder can effectively inhibit the alkali-aggregate reaction of concrete, reduce water seepage, and improve the workability of concrete.

3. Production of slag bricks

Slag powder can be mixed with other raw materials to make slag bricks. Slag bricks have the advantages of light weight, high strength, good thermal insulation and heat preservation performance, and are a new type of building material.

4. Used in road engineering

Slag powder can be used as a road base material to improve the stability and durability of the road. It can also be used in asphalt mixtures to improve the performance of asphalt.

Recently, the annual production of 300,000 tons of slag powder preparation project built by Liming Heavy Industry is in full swing. As a local green recycling industry demonstration base, the project can process hundreds of thousands of tons of blast furnace waste heavy slag in the surrounding area, and at the same time meet the raw material needs of local cement stations and commercial concrete stations.

In the early stage of project construction, customers put forward strict requirements on quality, progress, and environmental protection, hoping to ensure the quality of the project and put it into production as soon as possible. Liming Heavy Industry quickly set up a professional project team to coordinate management from construction planning to quality control. The team innovatively designed the construction plan, introduced advanced process equipment, and efficiently promoted the project. At the same time, it paid attention to environmental protection, optimized the transportation of raw materials and production processes to reduce the impact, actively communicated with customers, adjusted the plan as needed, and won the trust and support of customers.

▲ Equipment transportation stage

▲ Liming Heavy Industry LM vertical roller mill installation stage

The slag powder production line uses Liming Heavy Industry LM vertical roller mill. Its production process is as follows: slag and other raw materials are transported into the factory by loading trucks, and sent to the slag pile shed for storage through unloading hoppers and belt conveyors. The stacked slag is taken by a forklift and sent to the receiving hopper, and then sent to the elevator through the quantitative feeding equipment and belt conveyor. During the transportation process, the slag raw materials are first deironed by the iron remover, and then sent to the LM vertical roller mill for grinding through the air-locking feeding equipment such as the screw conveyor. The ground slag powder is selected by the powder selector with the help of the hot air provided by the hot air furnace, and is dried at the same time. The slag powder that meets the fineness requirements is collected by the dust collector, and then enters the finished product warehouse for storage through the air conveying chute and elevator.

1. Leading technology and low investment cost

Integrating crushing, grinding, drying, powder selection and transportation, the layout is compact, and it can be arranged in the open air, which greatly reduces the investment cost.

2. High grinding efficiency and good product quality

The special grinding roller and grinding disc structure design has high grinding efficiency; the finished product particle size distribution is uniform, the finished product powder is of good quality, good fluidity and high activity.

3. Reliable quality and stable operation

The grinding roller is equipped with a limit device to avoid direct contact between the grinding roller and the grinding disc, with low vibration; it has an automatic slag discharge function to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.

4. Large drying capacity and wide adaptability

Hot air can be used to convey materials, dry materials with a moisture content of up to 15% entering the mill, and the moisture content of the materials leaving the mill is <1%, with wide adaptability.

5. High degree of automation

The automatic control system is adopted, which can realize remote control, interlocking protection, reliable operation and easy operation.

6. Easy maintenance and low operating cost

The grinding roller adopts forced thin oil lubrication and is equipped with a hydraulic roller turning device. During maintenance, the grinding roller can be turned out of the machine by the hydraulic device without disassembly, which is convenient and quick.
