Liming Heavy Industry Powers the Successful Operation of CNGR-CSS New Energy Phase II Nickel Smelting Project Again

Recently, a significant milestone has been achieved at the Morowali Tsingshan Industrial Park in Central Sulawesi, Indonesia — the Phase II Laterite Nickel Ore Smelting-to-Matte Nickel Project of CNGR-CSS New Energy has been successfully commissioned. This will significantly enhance CNGR New Material Co., Ltd.’s independent supply capacity for nickel metal raw materials required in the production of ternary precursors.

Building on multiple collaborations across domestic and overseas projects, Liming Heavy Industry has once again joined hands with CNGR-CSS New Energy, exclusively supplying the pulverized coal preparation system for the oxygen-enriched side-blown converter of the Phase II Project. With profound technical expertise, Liming Heavy Industry delivered a full-process solution covering design and supply, laying a solid foundation for the successful commissioning of this high-standard premium production line with its top-tier equipment.
Premium Project Construction Extends the Trust Legacy
As a key project of CNGR New Material Co., Ltd. in deploying the resource end of new energy materials, this project processes local laterite nickel ore to produce high-grade nickel matte. Upon completion and commissioning, it is expected to achieve an annual total output of 60,000 metal tons of nickel matte. The oxygen-enriched side-blown converter process is adopted for the smelting section of laterite nickel ore in this project. The technology first pre-treats the raw ore through a dryer kiln and rotary kiln, then sends it to the oxygen-enriched side-blown converter for high-efficiency smelting, and finally produces nickel matte products successfully.

As a core component of the smelting process, the pulverized coal preparation system supplied by Liming Heavy Industry provides stable and high-efficiency raw material support for the oxygen-enriched side-blown process of the Phase II Project, facilitating the successful commissioning of the production line that converts laterite nickel ore into nickel matte.
Following multiple successful collaborations on both domestic and overseas projects, CNGR-CSS New Energy once again selected Liming Heavy Industry’s LM Vertical Roller Mill for its Phase II Project. In response, Liming Heavy Industry immediately set up a dedicated technical team, optimized and innovated the integrated line solution by drawing on experience from the Phase I Project, thus ensuring the smooth progress of the project. During construction, Liming’s service personnel strictly followed high standards to advance the work and guarantee project quality. Upon completion of equipment installation and commissioning, Liming’s after-sales team promptly delivered systematic training to the client, covering in-depth content such as operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, laying a solid foundation for the efficient operation of the production line.
While the Phase II Project of CNGR-CSS New Energy is progressing in full swing, the adjacent Phase I Project has already delivered an impressive performance report. Two LM Vertical Roller Mills supplied by Liming Heavy Industry have been operating continuously and stably, with their reliable performance providing the strongest testament to product quality and environmental value.

Liming Heavy Industry’s LM Vertical Roller Mill integrates crushing, milling, drying, classification and conveying in one unit. The combined drying and milling design enables the one-step milling process of "simultaneous grinding and drying". This large-scale milling equipment incorporates sophisticated and stable technological features. Equipped with a five-level safety explosion-proof system (including CO-O₂ online analysis), a roller hydraulic device and an automated electric control system, it ensures the entire milling process is safe, eco-friendly, intelligent, convenient, energy-saving and highly efficient.
